Bravo on a very powerful piece — which I will think back on every time a read a column about how bicoastal or liberal voters don’t “understand” the MAGA crowd. You flipped that problematic notion right-side up: they should be expected to understand people who dwell outside of their familial circles. That’s the better part of ethics and education.
